Heating Up!

So, as the temps rise, and the wait for the rains to begin, God gives us the most beautiful gift of the flamboyant tree!

Its like a flower in the middle of the desert.  This is the seventh year we've seen these trees bloom and every year, they take our breath away!

Here is one in front of the school where we meet for church in Kabwe.

Also this time of year, people prepare for the new season of growing crops, and selling off the rest of this years harvest.  They get together to shell peanuts like a party!  It is so neat to watch these people all working together to shell these peanuts! Just think of the brittle we could make from this batch!

James saw this boy in the market, and he asked him if he was a Seth Smith fan.  His response was, he likes Seth but his favorite outfielder is J. Reddick.  He was really disappointed that the A's didn't go further in the playoffs.  Better luck next year kid.

We really really enjoyed getting to see Seth play on our DSTV here in Kaputa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
